Emerging Leaders
Class of 2020 – Matthew Ambrusch

Matthew Ambrusch
Langan Engineering
Born in Colorado, I am a big Colorado sports fan, particularly the Broncos. Shortly after my younger sister was born, my family moved to Japan where we lived for a little over 2 years before settling down in New Jersey. I went to Rutgers University and graduated with a degree in bioenvironmental engineering and later returned to earn my MBA from the Rutgers Business School. I bought a home after graduating college and spent the next five or so years renovating every square inch of it. I have worked at Langan for the last 8 years and am currently a project engineer (and a PE in NJ) for a specialized team focused on designing, implementing and operating soil and groundwater remediation systems. I’m an avid golfer and enjoy spending my time outside, whenever possible.
My wife and I are expecting our first child this Memorial Day Weekend – I was born on Memorial Day 30 years ago.
Attitude reflects leadership – Julius Campbell (Remember the Titans)
My job would be a lot easier if I could better instill a sense of ownership in my direct reports.
